Overview

Reports to: Marketing Operations Manager

 

Functions Supervised: None

 

Primary Functions: The Marketing Technology Specialist will assist the department in developing and utilizing technology to better serve members and prospective members, serving as super-user and product evangelist for a variety of digital tools.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Participate as a stakeholder in organization-wide technology implementations and integrations to marketing systems and proactively inform the Marketing Operations Manager on project progress.
  2. Manage all administrative responsibilities for the marketing technology stack, eg. new staff onboarding and training, basic configuration, troubleshooting, and maintaining required documentation.
  3. Lead the search for new MarTech tools and platforms to meet busines needs, including collecting requirements, vendor documentation, evaluations, implementation, roll-out and adoption planning.
  4. Promote current MarTech capabilities, evangelize use cases that empower marketing to achieve more with existing tools. Evaluate new product iterations and communicate benefits of adopting new features or enhancements to existing technologies.
  5. Perform data privacy and compliance reviews of marketing technology products.
  6. Collaborate as a member of working teams assigned to the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns.
  7. Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Alaska USA's products, markets, and compliance requirements.
  8. Initiate and participate in efforts to further Alaska USA's marketing and business objectives.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:  Bachelor's degree in technology, computer science, marketing, or related field.

 

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: 3 years of marketing experience in a corporate or agency setting.

 

Experience/Skills: We're looking for a passionate, outgoing technophile to join the Alaska USA team to help manage our rapidly growing marketing technology stack. 2 years' experience various marketing technology platforms, including email platforms, content management systems, CRM, or similar. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with technical teams across the organization. Excellent oral communication and writing skills. Ability to work independently, remotely, and as part of the larger team. Good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary. Proficient with Microsoft tools. Up-to-date with the latest marketing technology trends and best practices.

Tenure: Assignment to the Marketing Technology Specialist I category 11, Marketing Technology Specialist II category 10, or Marketing Technology Specialist III category 9 will be determined by the candidate's education and/or experience. Advancement requires management recommendation and will be based on the candidate's certifications and/or performance.

 

Compensation

Salary Pay Range:

  • Marketing Technology Specialist I (Category 11): $52,258 - $81,523 annually
  • Marketing Technology Specialist II (Category 10): $57,484 - $90,825 annually
  • Marketing Technology Specialist III (Category 09): $63,233 - $101,804 annually

Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.

 

In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
