Overview

Reports to: Research Administration Officer

 

Functions Supervised: None

 

Primary Functions: Receive, research, process and control levies

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. RECEIVE, PROCESS AND CONTROL LEGAL ORDERS OF LEVIES, ATTACHMENTS OR EXECUTIONS FROM COURTS, PROCESS SERVERS OR OTHER AGENCIES.
  2. MAINTAIN CONTROL OF ASSIGNED CUSTODIAL LEDGERS AND RECONCILE TO THE GENERAL LEDGER.
  3. PERFORM RESEARCH SPECIALIST FUNCTIONS AS NECESSARY.
  4. PERFORM PROGRESSIVELY RESPONSIBLE DUTIES AS A RESEARCH SPECIALIST II TO INCLUDE IRS BACKUP WITHHOLDING ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE.
  5. PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

Qualifications

Education: High School graduate or equivalent

 

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Not Applicable

 

Experience/Skills: Good communication skills, general account knowledge or balancing experience, light typing and ten-key. Recommendation by a supervisor or two years of similar experience in a problem-solving capacity which routinely required independent decision making. Direct member contact experience is preferred

 

Tenure: Research Levy Specialist II, category 14, requires six months tenure in the Research Levy Specialist I position and performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Research Levy Specialist III, category 13, requires twelve months tenure in the Research Levy specialist II position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Senior Research Levy Specialist, category 12, requires twelve months tenure in the Research Levy specialist III position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Directly related work experience and /or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure.
