Primary Functions: Provide branch assistance to area branches. Assist in conducting training to branch employees with an emphasis placed on providing prompt, professional, helpful, knowledgeable and courteous member service while recommending financial products and services to meet member needs. Provide support regarding new products and services, and new programs and processes to encourage change.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Engage with existing and prospective members to create a positive member experience through prompt, professional, helpful, knowledgeable and courteous member service at all area branches.
  2. Coach, lead and motivate branch employees; by promoting cross selling of credit union products and services by understanding the unique financial goals of each member and tailoring solutions to meet each specific need.
  3. Be knowledgeable of credit union products and services, answer inquiries and provide accurate information to members on all types of accounts, and other credit union services.
  4. Confidently build meaningful relationships in-branch, as well as in the community by executing a variety of member engagement strategies through relationship calling, in-person conversations and referrals to other business lines.
  5. Perform duties of Senior Financial Services Representative position.
  6. Assist with the training on new products and services and updates on policy and procedure.
  7. Assist with conducting branch staff training for area branches.
  8. Obtain state mandated insurance license to quote and bind Personal Lines Insurance products, as assigned.
  9. Assume responsibility for area branches and assist with supervision of branch staff as assigned.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.


Education: High school graduate or equivalent


Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Two years of increasingly responsible experience in a related field preferred.


Experience/Skills: Passion for helping people and the drive to build relationships that assist members meet financial goals. Strong communication and personnel management skills. Ability to effectively ask questions, problem solve and provide solutions. Must be able to travel and may require use of own vehicle. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.


Tenure: Senior Branch Services Specialist, Category 12, requires six months tenure in the Senior Financial Service Representative, Category 13 position, with performance that meets or exceeds expectations as stated on Performance Evaluation Plan. Directly related work experience and/or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure.
