Overview

Reports To: Varies by location

 

Primary Functions: Fund and review contract documents from dealers.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Create, validate and accurately fund retail installment sales contracts in the loan origination system. Fund a sufficient quantity of loans, while maintaining quality, to ensure department objectives are met.
  2. Understand and maintain knowledge of all dealer program summaries.
  3. Complete daily balancing functions and / or work all queues, as assigned.
  4. Review loan documentation for completeness and accuracy, for one state. A sufficient quantity of loans must be reviewed, while maintaining quality, to ensure department objectives are met.
  5. Effectively communicate, orally and in writing, with dealers and others within the credit union regarding loan documentation or the deficiency thereof.
  6. Ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures applicable to titling processes and related credit union activities.
  7. Provide support and assistance to the Funding Support Specialist, as directed.
  8. Perform quality review of direct loan documentation, and initiate any corrections, if needed.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High School graduate or equivalent.

 

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Not Applicable

 

Experience/Skills: Six months general office experience which includes direct customer contact. Must be self-motivated, resourceful, and possess excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency at typing, at least 45 wpm, and a knowledge of personal computers required.

 

Tenure: Funding Specialist II, Category 15 requires a minimum of six months tenure in the Funding Specialist I position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Funding Specialist III, Category 14 requires a minimum of twelve months tenure in the Funding Specialist II position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Senior Funding Specialist, Category 13 requires a minimum of twelve months tenure in the Funding Specialist III position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Direct related work experience and/or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure.
